Syntax:

    char *ctime( const time_t *time );
</code>
The ctime() function converts the calendar time time to local time of the
format:

     day month date hours:minutes:seconds year
</code>
using ctime() is equivalent to

<code>
     asctime( localtime( tp ) );
</code>
